Final Cost

Stove prices vary significantly between brands, and even between various models of the same manufacturer. We have talked to many dealers and individual stove owners in the last several years. We like to ask questions and compare information about the units our customers own and use. This information leads us to believe, as with many things, the cheapest stove may not be the best buy. We have heard many complaints about and poor design issues associated with some of the "discount store" units. Noisy motors frequent motor burnout and poor or incomplete fuel combustion issues seem to be frequent and troublesome complaints. An alternative fuel stove represents a sizable investment for most individuals, investing additional money up front in a well known proven name brand will likely pay dividends over the many years of service life of the unit. If parts are needed down the road, and probably they will be at some point, major manufacturers usually offer quick service on repair parts and can arrange for repairs through well-established dealer networks if needed.

Big boxed store discount brand stove parts and service? Usually scary, at best.
